INTRODUCTION
 

Our policy under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 sets out what information we collect, how  we collect personal information, documentation held, how client data is used, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and finally how the data is stored.

 

WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED
 

  • Candidate’s Name and or Company Name

  • Telephone Number

  • Address

  • Email Address

  • Date of Birth

  • Photocopies of the plastic card part of the licence or Passport photo – this is used to validate the Candidate’s identity which the Trainer requires sight of before commencing any training course

  • Via email enquiries

  • Via Candidate Registration Forms


DOCUMENTATION HELD

 

  • Client/Candidate contact details, address, telephone number and email address

  • Copies of Candidates’ licence, which are held securely at the Company’s Head Office and on our data base for a period of time until they are legally no longer required or no longer serve any useful purpose.

  • Registration forms

  • Copy Attendance Certificates

HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS USED

  • As we are part of The Driver Link Training Consortium, your information is stored on a shared secure data base between DSF Driver CPC Training & Consultancy and Driver Link Training of Unity House, Westwood Park Drive, Wigan WN3 4HE –www.driverlinktraining.co.uk - 01942 826133

  • For the purpose of uploading completed periodic training hours to the DVSA of which you can then check them by going on to the government website www.gov.uk/check-your-driver-cpc-training-hours

  • Completion of Registration Form

  • Attendance Certificates

  • Notifying you of any changes to our services

  • Sending you information which you have requested with regards to future training dates or anything else which may be of interest to you.
     

We are legally bound to hold some types of information. i.e. with reference to your periodic training to fulfil our statutory obligations for up to six years, following which all data is securely destroyed apart from your name, address, telephone number and email address unless otherwise instructed by you for us to no longer hold this information.
 

HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION KEPT SECURE
 

  • All information which is gathered is kept safe and secure with a view to preventing unauthorised access, processing and accidental loss, damage or destruction.  This is achieved via technical and organisational measures which we have in place.

  • Electronic data is protected with security software and appropriate firewalls together with Cookies to help to protect and improve the overall experience of our website

  • We would not disclose your information without your prior consent to anyone other than those required for the purpose of your periodic training.
     

WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION
 

As DSF Driver CPC Training & Consultancy are part of the Driver Link Consortium, by engaging DSF for your training your data will be shared with them and JAUPT (Joint Approvals Unit For Periodic Training) for them to monitor and manage approved centres and the training uploaded to the DVSA and if necessary with member state authorities to confirm Driver CPC entitlement abroad.

The accuracy of the information you supply to us is essential in order for us to maintain the level of service expected by those who train with us. YOUR RIGHTS
 

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you and also the right to request that the data we hold on you to be erased if you no longer want us to contact you to inform you of future training dates or other such information which may be of interest to you.
